Food Glorious Food!

Those who know me know i have an obsession for food, looking at it, cooking it, entertaining guests with it and best of all eating it but recently i have developed the somewhat un-natural desire to share my love for anything edible.

Most of you will no doubt find my blog horrendously boring but a select few of you may find my ramblings over the coming weeks tolerable and possibly even interesting!
So anyway onwards and upwards........and a brief run down of the week so far
Saturday - Homemade Pizza's and BBQ Wedges

Sunday - Roast chicken, roast tatties, roast parsnips, cauliflower cheese, boiled tat's, carrots, sprouts, sage and onion stuffing and gravy mmmmm

Monday - Chilli & Chips (sorry forgot the photo for this one) Basic homemade Beef Chilli with chips, made simply by slicing up the leftover boiled tatties from the day befores roast and then lightly frying them.

Which brings us up to date with today. Now i'm a firm believer in loving your leftovers and i'm sure most people don't realise just how much chicken you throw away once your done with your roast on a Sunday afternoon. Get yourself a pair of caterers gloves and strip off as much meat as you can after your next roast chicken, i think you'd be pleasantly suprised. I normally use a medium sized chicken and carve the breast meet for the roast dinner, this leaves the legs, thighs, wings and a whole host of delicious tender chicken underneath. The amount i can get off the chicken will make another 2/3 meals for 2 people

So using half of the chicken leftovers i today created Spicy Szechuan Chicken with egg fried rice... I've already cooked the other half of the leftover chicken, turning it into a rather yummy tikka masala, it's in the frezzer now ready for Thursday night's late return home.
Tomorrow all being well a rather special beef dish.
